As has been mentioned before, Tara’s working on her doctorate in high energy quantum physics—a field complex enough that most ordinary people—like me—can’t even begin to understand it. Well, the biggest difference between a little kid’s toy box and a high-energy physics student’s toy box can be the parts in the building set…
Ask Tara how she did this, and she’ll go off about quantum chromodynamics, gluons, symetry violation, and who knows what else—but she’s so pleased with her success that she failed to notice one trivial detail…

Big Jane
Big Jane is a character from a story I wrote long an long ago. I don’t know if I’ll ever revive the story, but I thought she looks good—so here’s the big sweetie: Big Jane, the heavyweight champ, in casual gym attire. Since this is casual training, she prefers a shirt with some stains from previous sparring.

04 Second Punch
Red follows up her hard overhand with a hard left hook, trying to hurt Sarah early, and notch up another first round knockout.
Both punches landed cleanly--Sarah could be in a world of hurt. She can take a lot--but Red's a master at dishing it out.

Winning Punch
Winning a fight with one punch...
Evalyn lands her first punch against Liz—and wins the fight with it. She had to hit the taller woman with a lot more punches, but this one determined the outcome. Evalyn ducked under a jab, and took a risk; she took the extra split second to throw, not just a hard, painful punch, but one with every bit of her muscle and weight behind it—right into her opponent’s floating ribs. That, itself, from her, can drop a lot of people, but not Liz.
Note Evalyn’s left hand. At first glance, it looks like she’s trying to throw a second punch already, but she’s not. As she stepped inside Liz’s reach with the vicious right hook, she was also knocking Liz’s right glove outside of her left, exposing the biger woman’s jaw. As the right smashes Liz’s body, Evalyn’s weight is now on her front foot, perfectly positioned to drive a left hook into Liz’s jaw, temple, or eye. In this case, she got Liz full power in the jaw, leaving her momentarily stunned. That’s all it took for Evalyn to smash her a couple more times, keeping her off balance, seeing stars, and vulnerable. 10-20 full power punches later, Liz went down for the count. The fight perhaps lasted 30 seconds, and all Liz landed was one glancing jab on her opponent’s face.
Should I do more of this match?
(Don’t worry, more of Red vs. Red, and Scrap vs. Felicity, are in the works!)

Mary--a gift for MCPBA
MCPBA's Mary [link] preparing for a "light" sparring session at a women's only gym that her former opponent, Chris, recently discovered. The gym is first rate--but has an unusual dress--or is that undress--code--shirts are iscouraged. Although embarassed at first, Chris, then Mary, both found it to be well worth the bit of exposure.
And Mary also finds it helpful to get used to boxing topless--important for the underground league she's in.
And if some relationships develop that continue outside the ring--well, that's very natural...

01 Red and Sarah Facing Off
Theres a new girl in townRed. Shes joined Saoires Womens Boxing Club, and todays her first day. The resident big girl, Sarah, isnt impressed, and the two end up in the ring. Theyve agreed on 8 ounce gloves and no headgear. As is the norm for this gym, theyre topless. Theyll box two minute rounds until someone is knocked outno standing 8 count, no three knockdown rule.
Taras felt Sarahs fists more than a few timesalthough she has beat the big blonde as well. Shes agreed to referee for the two big girls.

35K--ground and pound
I never thought I’d hit 35K pics—but people keep looking, and I see that new folk are finding my site over time and liking what they find. So, here’s my 35K pic.
Brawls can happen anywhere, and among any sort of people, not just in cheap dives and such. Blaine and Tara had some harsh words, which turned to hard blows, and as the sun sets, they are trying to smash each other. The feisty Tara is a great boxer—but not as much of a bareknuckle brawler. Blaine, in contrast, has been fighting in schoolyards since she was a kid, and also has 20 pounds on the redhead. The conclusion was almost inevitable: Tara did well at first, but Blaine’s assortment of skills eventually brought Tara to the ground. This is the finale, an old fashioned Ground And Pound. Tara’s still struggling—and as long as she does, Blaine will keep punching her. There’s no escape this time—except unconsciousness or giving up.
As the sun setting brings darkness to the world, Blaine takes great pleasure in bringing darkness to Tara…

Sam and Tara 04
Part way through round one, the two boxers have been feeling each other out, landed a few decent punches, but haven’t done any serious hurt to each other. Now they both know this isn’t going to be a short fight; they both know that the winner’s going to be banged up, and the looser a real mess.
The fight’s more than just sport; these two have something to prove to each other—and there’s some bad blood between them; they’re fighting until someone is knocked out. All Sarah has to do is count over whoever goes down, and break them, if need be, at the end of each round.
After several punches back and forth, Sam got Tara to throw a big right; she was prepared for it, and gleefully smashed Tara right in the breast—she doesn’t just want to beat her, she wants to dish out as much pain as Tara can take.
