Upcoming mayhem

Erika’s at Rose’s Gym to learn some new techniques, and I’m watching her, and trying to give some advice to the big, awkward woman. She, however, is less than impressed with my advise to pay more attention to defense, and especially to use her jab to set up combos; she’s used to smashing almost anyone to the canvas with big, hard punches.

I finally mentioned that, with well telegraphed punches like that, she’d be easy pickings for a quick, agile boxer like me. One thing led to another, and we’ll be testing our respective fight theories soon enough.

Note the way the bag is bending, but the upper chain has hardly moved—that’s a sign of a HARD punch.
