At Rose’s Gym, holidays are remembered, and remembered right. “Labot Day” is not a day to run some sale, draw people away from their families, and totally forget what a holiday means. Sure, in the evening, she’ll open the gym for a few hours—but there’s no scheduled classes, no expectations. Modern businesses have forgotten about the meaning of a holiday—but not here, not now. No one that works or trains (and training is definitely hard work) will be kept from families, away from the last barbeque of summer. Instead, the gym rests quiet, while elsewhere, the scent of charcoal grills and hamburgers fills the air.
