Backyard toys

Not all boxing is in a nice formal ring—sometimes it’s for fun in the backyard.  These matches can be very light, for fun and training, up to and including as hard fought and bruising as in the gym.

I took this pic some years ago, just before some backyard mayhem—pretty high intensity mayhem, at that.  The red gloves are mine, the black ones were my friend’s.  I got VERY well acquainted with those sexy black Everlasts that fall afternoon.
