As Rose felt the all too familiar CRUNCH of cartilage giving way under Reds brutal punch, she knew in an instant that the fight would only last a few moments. Either her eyes would quickly swell shut, leaving her wide open for Reds repeated pounding, Tara would stop the fight, or she could knock the enormous redhead out, and quickly.
This all happened without conscious thoughtand in landing that nose-smashing punch, Red had made a subtle mistake. Her back leg was just a tad too far back,, leaving her unable to follow up effectively for an instant. Despite the raw pain that comes with a broken nose, Roses instincts are some of the best in the game, and her right fist lashes out at the bottom of Reds jaw.
A sharp observer might notice that Reds body isnt reacting to the blow, just her head. THAT tells Rose, and Tara, that Red will be seeing some stars; she wasnt able to absorb much of the power with her strong neck muscles and solid bodymost of the power went into Reds headwith all that means for the next few seconds
