22 Scrap and Felicity

With the bigger girl off balance, Scrap does what she does best—attack. Her defense isn’t great—but Felicity can’t get any weight behind a punch, even if she gets one off. And now Felicity’s all the way on the ropes—going anywhere will be tough.

Knocking Felicity out this early is unlikely, Scrap lacks the crushing power to separate her from her senses this early. (In a couple of years, perhaps…)

Instead, she’s remembering Tara’s lessons—which some might find counterintuitive. She’s not going for the jaw—unless she knocks Felicity out outright, which is unlikely—any fuzzy-headedness will more than likely clear up in the minute break. Instead, she’s trying to do as much damage as possible—of the type that WON’T clear up as much between rounds.

The blonde knows how to protect herself, even at times like this, but Scrap pulled another trick from her lessons from Tara: Instead of throwing all her punches to the head, she smacked Felicity’s left arm down with her own left, giving her a clean shot. A smashing, nose-bloodying punch doesn’t heal up in a minute—that should have some good long term effects…

And, she’s got plenty of targets for her left—lots of places where an 8-ounce glove won’t feel so good. Where should she throw the punch; she wants to make sure that each blow will impair her for the entire fight; she doesn’t expect a KO in the next minute.

Can Scrap do some real damage to even things up? Or will Scrap get too close, allowing Felicity to clinch? Can she get off the ropes, and continue to hammer Scrap?

One thing for sure—Felicity isn’t having the easy time she expected, putting this annoying kid in her place…
