19 Scrap and Felicity

Scrap took a tremendous punch clean on her jaw and hit the canvas; she’d never taken a shot quite this hard—let alone right on the jaw. Yet, she bounces to her feet in mere seconds, ready to resume the fight.

Liz is checking her out, making sure that she’s fit to continue boxing—and Liz is also remembering when she was that age. Kids often bounce back faster from knockdown punches than adults, and also are far less likely to have any fear of what’s coming at them when the fight resumes. Liz never feels any fear in the ring—but sometimes has more of an understanding when she’s outmatched than Scrap does.

Scrap is not worried in the least about what’s coming—focused on getting the job done, but has no fear of what her bigger, stronger, and more experienced opponent has done, or will do—she just wants to get back in and pound Felicity. And with only 15 seconds of the round gone, there’s plenty of time…

But—has the punch knocked her loopy enough to be an easy target? And how much will the bloody nose hurt her?

(And Jerrie-46, does this mean you’re scared of the little lass?)
